The Chromatic Trio was formed in 2016 around the compositions of young swiss pianist Mélusine Chappuis who is accompanied by Fabian Kraus on bass and Xavier Almeida on drums. Right from the start, the three musicians bond with each other and create their own, personal aesthetic. Influenced by the colors of modern jazz, their music sounds energetic as well as delicate and profound.
The trio already played on several festivals, such as the international Jazzfestival Bern, the Festi’Neuch and the Langnau Jazz Nights. Their first EP “Nocturne” was released in March 2017.
